Nottingham Trent University

Stormsaver are proud to work with Nottingham Trent University on a number of exciting initiatives. Together, our work has helped to kickstart graduate careers, host multiple industrial placement students, develop innovative water recycling systems, and support learning and development across the university. This rich history of the collaboration is a testament to the mutual passion for innovation, creativity and sustainability across Stormsaver and Nottingham Trent University.

Our relationship started when our founders, Michael and Lisa Farnsworth graduated from the university. Having supported Michael to pioneer the first commercial rainwater harvesting system in the UK, Michael then joined forces with Lisa to develop Stormsaver into the thriving business it is today.

Here just some of the key highlights from our longstanding relationship with the local university

  • Greg, our Product Design Engineer started his career with Stormsaver as an undergraduate placement student. Upon completion of his placement, we offered him graduate role with us, and he has now been with the team for a number years.
  • Matt, our Marketing Executive Placement Student, will be re-joining the team upon graduation from his Business Management and Marketing Degree.
  • We have supported multiple short-term internships in a range of disciplines.
  • We will host two placement students in marketing and product design in 2022.
  • Stormsaver has embarked on a new, exciting research and development project with Nottingham Trent University through funding from Innovate UK.
  • Lisa Farnsworth, our Founder and Managing Director, has been an Alumni Fellow for a number of years, supporting the growth of undergraduate students in Nottingham Business School.
