Community Building, Epsom
Project Overview
Our client, ORU had an ambitious plan to transform an old department store in a shopping centre into a new community space, home to co-working areas, meeting rooms, a creche, rooftop garden and yoga studio.
Having identified the clear opportunity to develop the high street, the Greater London Authority endorsed the project through their Good Growth Fund which helped the transformation of the 2,300 square metres building.

The Solution
The site had two main challenges; limited space to incorporate a rainwater reuse system and the fact that this building would require a retrofit solution. Stormsaver were able to help overcome these challenges and supply a rainwater harvesting solution for toilet flushing and garden irrigation at the site.
We were able to provide our StormStation all-in-one rainwater system to be located on the roof of the former BHS building. The modular nature of the StormStation meant that it could be easily installed by the contractor. In the first few weeks of operation, the system saved 59,000 litres of water.
