Alexander Stadium
It was an honour to be selected to provide a bespoke rainwater harvesting solution for the iconic Commonwealth Games venue, the Alexander Stadium.
Having already worked with a number of sporting and leisure venues, we worked with the client to supply a bespoke rainwater harvesting system which allowed the venue to utilise the large roof area to reduce mains water consumption and save carbon. From the outset we ensured complete reliability, giving our client confidence of smooth operations during the Commonwealth Games and beyond.
The solution came in the form of our advanced Triplex non-pressurised rainwater harvesting system. We recommended this due to a large non-potable water supply being required to meet demand. In this case, the system provides a sustainable water supply to toilets for 18,000 people.
Our expert team recommended that the Triplex was best suited due to the unique automatic backwash system which reduces maintenance requirements as the unit is self-cleaning. As well as supplying the system, our maintenance team were on-hand throughout the successful Commonwealth games; giving the client complete peace of mind.
