Reduce Water Usage at University

We were approached by a university who wanted to reduce water usage across their campus. To achieve this goal, we supplied a bespoke rainwater recycling solution for their new building which had a had small roof area where we could collect water from.

 University Rainwater Harvesting

Despite the limitations of a small roof area, our commercial estimating team used their expertise to propose a bespoke, efficient system for the University’s individual requirements. Stormsaver’s expert team concluded that our popular combi control unit would be ideal with an above ground tank to avoid costly ground works in the installation stage.

Stormsaver now provide a bi-annual maintenance package to the university. On our most recent maintenance visit, our engineer discovered the system had recycled 3,983,000 litres of rainwater for non-potable use over an 8 year period. This means the system has also saved 1,135 KgCO2e since commissioning. The system now saves the university £1,533 off their mains water bill each year. These figures are a testament to the efficiency of Stormsaver’s systems and the university’s commitment to water conservation.
