Stormsaver support Mental Health Awareness Week 2022
Mental health matters. Here at Stormsaver we have a team of dedicated Mental Health First Aiders who are on hand to offer support to our team whenever they need it. We also have introduced an Employee Wellbeing Programme to help us understand the needs our valued team members.
We sat down with Liz, our Maintenance Sales Manager, and one of our dedicated Mental Health First Aiders to talk about her role.
“Having experienced my own struggles with mental health over the years I know how important, and what a relief, it is to have support and understanding in the workplace. We spend most of our time at work and I think it’s important for colleagues to feel that they can reach out to others at work if they’re struggling and even more important that there are team members who are trained to spot when someone is becoming mentally unwell. Being a compassionate person, it seemed natural to me to become a mental health first aider and I now have the tools to approach and offer the correct support to team members when they are feeling distressed.”
