Supermarket - Staffordshire

We were approached by a large supermarket chain who had a goal to improve their sustainability credentials across their business. One way they aimed to achieve this was by installing rainwater harvesting systems across their portfolio of sites with the aim to reduce reliance on carbon-producing mains water supplies. Over the years the client had installed Stormsaver systems in the majority of their stores, but in some cases the contractor had opted for a cheaper option. On this site, lack of experienced maintenance over a 10 year period resulted in multiple failures, and threatened temporary closure for the store because of no flushing toilets.

We were able to provide a reliable replacement in the form of our Combi 400 system, recommended where plant space is limited. Our Combi 400 system is designed to be a self-contained rainwater harvesting unit, without the need for expensive header tanks which require additional plant space in the roof area.

Work carried out by our expert installation team has now allowed the client to have complete peace of mind over future operation. Stormsaver continue to maintain this and other systems for the client and have plans to continue a steady strategy of replacements, where needed, to ensure maximum water savings for the client.
