Michael Farnsworth, Managing Director

Michael FarnsworthMichael Farnsworth is one of the UK’s most respected rainwater harvesting experts.

His environmental and sustainable passion stems from his time at Nottingham Trent University, where, inspired by one of the UK’s first eco-homes in Southwell, Nottinghamshire, Michael created the original Stormsaver rainwater harvesting system.

A confident commentator on sustainability, having written and researched numerous academic papers on products that could mitigate the impact of development on the environment, Michael is committed to finding a viable and accessible solution for the mass property market.

Michael’s background is thoroughly embedded in water conservation, having worked on a number of high profile public sector projects.

He is a regular commentator in the media, and has recently been quoted in the Telegraph, the Guardian, Homebuilding & Renovating magazine, Self Build & Design, the Nottingham Evening Post, on BBC Radio Nottingham and a whole host of trade magazines.

Michael takes his passion for clean and plentiful water for all seriously and as such actively takes part in charity fundraising events, recently taking part in an expedition to Namibia to help teach young people about the importance of sustainable living. He has facilitated raising £13,000 for WaterAid through Stormsaver events and donations which has helped to bring clean, clear water to people who would otherwise have none.

 

 

Lisa Farnsworth, Sales Director


Lisa FarnsworthLisa has a passion for creativity, innovation and art.

She is not your typical sales director driven by numbers and sales targets; she genuinely believes in the benefits of her rainwater harvesting products and their positive impact upon the environment. So much so, she invests the majority of her time into spreading the word about their benefits. Lisa says: “The rainwater harvesting industry has developed over the past five years and now water re-use and recycling has a dominant position on the sustainable agenda.”

She is keen to provide advice on how to save water; not only because it is cost effective, but also because it helps look after the environment. So much so, Lisa and her family are using Stormsaver’s “Monsoon” system in their newly constructed eco-home.

Through her energy and hard work, she has become one of Nottinghamshire’s most respected and influential businesswomen, being a finalist in the Women of Worth Awards in 2009, as well as leading Stormsaver and its committed team to success in the National Business Awards and Midlands Excellence Awards in 2009.

Lisa is also an Enterprise UK Ambassador, supporting work in schools and with young people across the East Midlands.

 

Tony Jackson, Technical Director

Tony JacksonTony was born & raised in Nottinghamshire. After leaving school served his apprenticeship with Hawker Siddley Aviation.

Working on Shackleton, Vulcan & Nimrod aircraft. He also studied Electrical Engineering at Peoples College at Nottingham. After working for various companies in Electrical Engineering eventually ran his own company, manufacturing control Panels for Animal feed processing, conveyors systems, and Industrial Boilers.

Tony joined Stormsaver in January 2008, becoming Technical director soon after. 

On a daily basis, Tony manages the Technical team which includes commissioning engineers and overseeing product development, coming up with new and innovative ways to enhance the Stormsaver product range. 

He also looks after the control systems and their manufacture ensuring that his impeccably high standards are maintained in every single system which leaves our manufacturing facility.

 

Project Management Team


Project Managment TeamThe Project Management Team's main role is to deal with day to day enquiries and to ensure that all project components are to the right specification and that they arrive on site within agreed time frames.
 
The team arranges flexible engineer visits, commissioning and services on the existing systems.

They are also the main point of call for queries about ongoing projects.   

 

Commercial Sales and Estimating Team
  
Our team of qualified and experienced estimators are on hand to provide advice and guidance on any upcoming projects which may require rainwater harvesting. With their commitment to customers to give the best possible service, they are the main point of contact.

Our experienced team aim to be efficient, friendly, and to offer every assistance from the initial enquiry to point of order. Whether there are BREEAM or Brtitsh Standard related questions, they are always on hand to help.

Customer relationships are highly valued and the sales and estimating team are central to ensuring that help and assistance is given to each individual order, a fundamental priority in the day to day work as well as for future consideration of our business.
