As part of Stormsaver’s commitment to educating the
next generation of environmentalists, it is proud to announce a second eco-scholarship
with non-profit conservation experts, Biosphere Expeditions.
Ronny Huiseb, currently a wildlife tour guide in
the Namib region, will be awarded the scholarship to help him learn more about sustainable
living.
“I believe that tourism and conservation should go
hand-in-hand, and I’m looking forward to working with the team at Biosphere
Expeditions to learn more about conserving and protecting the environment,”
comments Ronny.
Michael Farnsworth, managing director of
Stormsaver, said: “I’m delighted to announce this second eco-scholarship. We’ve
seen the great work that Biosphere Expeditions is doing in the region,
educating young people about the importance of sustainable living and I hope by
supporting the scholarship programme this will continue long into the future.
“We are proud to offer a number of eco-scholarships
within the Namibian community to help them understand about conservation and
their impact on the environment. Our first eco-scholarship recipient, Rachel Futter,
is doing incredibly well and is already making a real difference to the local
area. I hope Ronny will be able to learn the skills needed to ensure the future
of the region and the surrounding areas.”
